Purdue Starts 3-Match Homestand with No. 23 Ohio State, Penn State

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Kickstarting a three-match homestand to close out the regular season, the Purdue men's tennis team will host a pair of matches this weekend at the Schwartz Tennis Center. The Boilermakers will square off with No. 19 Ohio State on Friday and Penn State on Sunday.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Kickstarting a three-match homestand to close out the regular season, the Purdue men's tennis team will host a pair of matches this weekend at the Schwartz Tennis Center. The Boilermakers will square off with No. 23 Ohio State on Friday and Penn State on Sunday.
Matches will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Up to 100 people are allowed to watch the contests at the Schwartz Tennis Center, as long as fans observe mask wearing, social distancing guidelines and other Protect Purdue standards.

BOILER NOTES
• The Boilermakers have taken one match in the doubles frame in three of the last four contests, topped by two wins from Mateo Julio and Andre Suzanne.
• Julio picked up his fifth win of the season at the top of the lineup against Michigan State. The senior is 5-3 on the year in singles play.
• Freshman Milledge Cossu defeated Anthony Pero from Michigan State last weekend to earn his second career victory in singles.
• Purdue trails the all-time series to Ohio State 76-18-2, which dates back to June 2, 1914.
• The Boilermakers' last win against Ohio State was on March 28, 1999.
• The Buckeyes boast a trio of singles players and two doubles tandems in the ITA rankings – No. 35 John McNally, No. 46 Cannon Kingsley, No. 104 Robert Cash, as well as No. 58 James Trotter/Justin Boulais, No. 68 Robert Cash/John McNally.
• Penn State holds a narrow 19-16 lead in the all-time series against the Boilermakers.
