WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Heading out to compete for its league-best 10th title, the Purdue women's basketball team will open the 2021 Big Ten Tournament at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Wednesday night against Iowa. The No. 11 seed Boilermakers and sixth-seeded Hawkeyes will play the nightcap on FS2 with Lisa Byington and Christy Winters Scott on the call and will start no earlier than 8:50 p.m.

• Purdue enters the 2021 Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament seeking its conference-best 10th title and first since 2013.
• The Boilermakers have a 45-18 tournament record, with a 23-10 mark under head coach Sharon Versyp. Ohio State holds the all-time record of 46 victories.
• Purdue holds a 6-1 all-time mark against six seeds and a 3-2 record when playing in the second round.
• Sharon Versyp holds the Big Ten record for tournament wins with 25, including a pair from her time at Indiana. Lisa Bluder is second with 20.
• Purdue is the No. 11 seed for just the second time in program history. The Boilermakers have been lower than the No. 5 seed seven times in history.

• Kayana Traylor earned her first career All-Big Ten honor, receiving Second Team honors from the coaches and honorable mention from the media.
• Fatou Diagne's consistency in the conference play netted her All-Big Ten Honorable Mention laurels from the league media, the first of her career.
• Madison Layden capped her first regular season with Big Ten All-Freshman honors from the coaches and media, the sixth in the Versyp era.
• Purdue extended its streak of having a first or second team honoree to 28 years in a row.

• Purdue leads the all-time series with Iowa 40-34 with a 4-2 mark in the Big Ten Tournament.
• Madison Layden and Iowa's Caitlin Clark are the only rookies in the Big Ten and 2-of-14 freshmen nationally averaging 8.0 points, 3.0 assists and 1.5 3-pointers per game.
• Layden is the only rookie from the Big Ten with at least 65 assists and 45 steals this season and tied for second in the country with a steal in 22 games.
• Kayana Traylor is one of 13 players from the Big Ten averaging at least 14.0 points, 3.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game.
• Brooke Moore has picked up the pace in the last six games, averaging 15.6 points, including 14 3-pointers.
