WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women's tennis team returns to Schwartz Tennis Center this weekend to match up against two Big Ten opponents in two days. The Boilermakers will host Maryland on Saturday, followed by a visit from Rutgers on Sunday. Both matches are schedule for noon ET.

Purdue lost a tight battle at Illinois last Sunday, dropping by a score of 4-3. After clinching the doubles point, Purdue got singles wins from Csilla Fodor and Nathalia Wolf Gasparin at No. 2 and No. 6, respectively, but that wasn't enough to top the Fighting Illini. The Illinois win put them one game ahead in the all-time series between the two at 32-31.

- Csilla Fodor notched her 10th overall singles win on the season on Sunday, defeating Illinois's Kate Duong at No. 2 6-4, 6-3.
- Fodor's pairing with Ena Babic has been a tough duo to stop for opponents. Their win on Sunday against Illinois's Asuka Kawai and Josie Frazier improved their record to 4-1 in Big Ten Play on the season.
- Maryland carries two nationally ranked singles players in No. 29 Ayana Akli and No. 84 Eva Alexandrova, but no ranked doubles pairings.
- The Terrapins have been outscored 53-17 in total points on the season
- The Boilermakers are 3-2 against Maryland all-time and are currently on a two-match win streak.
- Rutgers's lone win on the season came against Michigan State on March 14th.
- Purdue is 3-0 against Rutgers in the all-time series between the two.
- Purdue's two weekend opponents were scheduled to duel on February 27th, but that match was postponed. The two are scheduled to face off again on April 17th.
