BARN BURNER TROPHY
The Boilermakers lead the Barn Burner Trophy series by an 18-9 margin. The Hoosiers have taken the last four meetings, since Purdue won the trophy back on Jan. 10, 2016. Purdue is 7-6 in trophy games in Bloomington.
LAST TIME OUT
The Boilermakers snapped an eight-game skid with a 70-66 win over Illinois last Sunday for Senior Day. The trio of honored seniors combined for 14 points, 19 rebounds and two assists. Kayana Traylor and Brooke Moore totaled 33 points, while freshmen Madison Layden and Ra Shaya Kyle each totaled 10 points, and both knocked down key free throws late in the fourth quarter.
NOTES
• Purdue leads the all-time series against Indiana 55-35, with a 21-17 mark in Bloomington.
• Kayana Traylor hit double figures for the 16th time this season against Illinois. The junior is on track to average eight points more per game than her sophomore season. Traylor has also dished out 80 assists this season, good for 16th in the Big Ten.
• Purdue will go for its first ranked win since Jan. 20, 2019, against No. 25 Indiana, a 56-53 decision at Mackey Arena.
• Madison Layden's two streaks continued against Illinois. The rookie has recorded a steal in every game this season and knocked down a 3-pointer in each of the last 19 games.
• Purdue has averaged 19.3 points off 15.3 opponent turnovers over the last three games.
• The Boilermakers have found their touch from outside over the last five with 7.4 makes per game at a 40.4% clip.
• Ra Shaya Kyle played a career-high 19:38 against Illinois and nearly picked up her first career double-double, finishing with 10 points, eight boards.
• Fatou Diagne's 7.9 rebounds per game this season ranks ninth by a senior and 16th by a player in a season in program history.
