WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue women's & diving won multiple medals in the diving events for the second year in a row and had at least one member of all four academic classes post an individual scoring finish at the Big Ten Championships.

Maggie Merriman (silver on platform) and Emily Bretscher (bronze on 3-meter) medaled in their premier events for the second year in a row. Merriman was named second-team All-Big Ten for her runner-up showing on the tower. Maycey Vieta and Bretscher scored in all three diving events for the second year in a row.

Bretscher's excellence and versatility allowed the senior to finish among the top 10 in all three events in consecutive seasons, making her Purdue's top scorer with 72 team points. She has accounted for 255 team points in her career at Big Tens, easily the most by any Boilermaker past or present since the expanded scoring format was instituted beginning in 2016.

Eight of the 12 Boilermakers to score in an individual event were underclassmen. Freshmen Masy Folcik not only scored in both breaststroke events, she also posted a pair of times that rank among the Purdue all-time top 10.

Sophomore Kate Beavon scored in both distance freestyle events and also posted a pair of times that rank among Purdue's all-time leaders. She accounted for 23 team points to rank fourth on the squad, the most of any swimmer.

Seniors Riley Kishman and Natalie Myers joined Bretscher and Merriman as Boilermakers to score at Big Tens for at least the third year in a row. Kishman and Myers also teamed up to help Purdue post a top-10 time in the 400 free relay to close the meet.
