Both the Boilermakers (1-1-0, 1-1-0 Big Ten) and Scarlet Knights (1-1-0, 1-1-0 Big Ten) are coming off overtime matches on Thursday. Purdue earned a dramatic 3-2, double-overtime victory over Maryland, while Rutgers lost a 1-0 contest at Indiana.
Purdue leads the Big Ten in shots per match, with 18.00, and is second in shots on goal per match, with 7.00. The Boilermakers are fourth in goals per match (1.50) and total goals (3).
Individually, redshirt junior forward Sarah Griffith is second in the league and No. 11 nationally with 6.00 shots per match, and she is third in the Big Ten with 2.00 shots on goal per contest.

Purdue took a 1-0 lead 30 seconds into the match and tied it at 2-2 at 89:59 to force overtime before scoring the match-winning goal in the second overtime in an exciting 3-2 victory over Maryland on Thursday night.
Griffith scored the second-earliest goal in team history at 0:30, but Maryland evened the match at 1-1 in the 19th minute and took a 2-1 lead in the 81st. However, sophomore defender Chloe Woodbeck headed in the match-tying goal with one second left in regulation to send it to overtime. In the 102nd minute, freshman forward Nicole Kevdzija scored her first collegiate goal to win it for the Boilermakers.
