The Boilermakers split their two-match opening weekend against No. 10 Ohio State and Penn State last weekend. Csilla Fodor was the lone Boilermaker to go 2-0 on the weekend, going perfect in both singles contests and winning her one doubles contest that finished.

On Sunday against the Nittany Lions, Purdue claimed the opening doubles point, before Fodor, Ena Babic and Zala Dovnik provided the clinching points in a 4-3 win.

Doubles has been a solid point for the Boilermakers through the two dual contests and two invitational this season. Babic and Fodor have teamed up to post a 5-1 record, holding a 5-4 lead in an unfinished match against Ohio State's No. 42-ranked tandem, and Nathalia Wolf Gasparin and Dovnik have gone 5-2 through seven matches.

Michigan State improved to 2-1 on the year with a 4-3 win against Maryland and a 6-1 win against Rutgers last weekend.

Michigan is a matching 2-1 for the year, with a 2-0 mark in Big Ten play. The Wolverines posted 7-0 and 5-2 wins against Rutgers and Maryland, respectively, last weekend. Receiving votes in the ITA national poll, Michigan's lone loss was a 4-1 decision against No. 6 Duke. The Wolverines also have two ranked players in No. 71 Andrea Cerdan and No. 101 Alyvia Jones.
