ROSEMONT, Ill. – Purdue's Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center has been selected to host the Big Ten Diving Championships in a late February as the league has opted to split up the swimming and diving portions of the championship meets for one year only.
The Boilermakers will welcome men's and women's divers from around the conference to campus for a meet that is scheduled to be held from Feb. 25 to 27. Diving is traditionally contested over three days at championship meets. The additional day allotted this year could allow for splitting up men's and women's platform events onto separate days.
Purdue is planning to stream the Big Ten Diving Championships live on BTN+, but the meet is likely to be closed to the public so the mezzanine level of the pool can used for additional team space to comply with conference and campus COVID-19 protocols. Those same protocols are the reason why the decision was made to split up swimming and diving this year, in an effort to reduce the number of student-athletes on deck at one facility.
The swimming championships are scheduled to be hosted by Minnesota (women) and Ohio State (men). Point totals earned by the divers will be added to those accumulated by their teammates in the swimming events to determine the Big Ten champion and conference standings.

• Men's & Women's Diving – Feb. 25 to 27 at Purdue

• Men's Swimming – March 2 to 6 at Ohio State
Meanwhile, the Purdue men are also in line to host the 2022 Big Ten Championships. Swimming and diving events would again be contested at the same meet beginning next year.
Since the facility opened in August 2001, the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center has served as the host of the NCAA Zone C Championships six times – 2002, 2005, 2010, 2013, 2016 and 2019.
