WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – A pair of Purdue women's golfers triumphed at two separate events this week. Incoming freshman Jocelyn Bruch won the Indiana Women's Golf Association Match Play Championship on Thursday, while sophomore Kan Bunnabodee took home the individual title at the Thai LPGA's second Singha-Sat Championship on Friday.

Playing on Purdue's Ackerman-Allen Course, Bruch defeated future Boilermaker teammate Daniela Ballesteros 6 and 4 in the match play final to take home the championship Thursday.

After firing a 3-under par 69 in the opening round of stroke play to earn the top overall seed heading into match play, Bruch defeated Hadley Walts 4 and 2 in the round of 16. She went on to beat Ally Ross 3 and 2 in the round of eight and fellow Boilermaker Micaela Farah 1-up in the semifinals to reach the finals against Ballesteros.

Bruch is set to enroll at Purdue when the fall semester begins.

Playing as an amateur, Bunnabodee carded a three-round total of 6-under par 210 in the Thai LPGA's first event since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Playing at the Royal Hua Hin Golf Course in Prachuab Kirikhan, Thailand, Bunnabodee started the tournament with an opening round 4-under 68, followed by a 2-under 70 in round two and an even-par 72 in the final 18 holes. Bunnabodee bested runner-up Chorphaka Jaengkit, a professional tour player, by two strokes to take the medalist honors.
