WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Entering Week 4 with a 12-3 record, the Purdue softball program is slated to take on the JU/UNF Spring Break Challenge from Friday, Feb. 28 through Sunday, March 1.

Over the three-day tournament, the Boilermakers will play at two locations: the UNF and Jacksonville ballparks, with Saturday the lone day at the Jacksonville. In total, Purdue will take on four opponents: No. 19 Virginia Tech, UNF, Jacksonville and Akron.

In their best start to the season since 2001 (12-2-1), the Boilermakers are coming off a perfect 4-0 weekend at the UNCG Invitational, which included a 1-0 shutout over RV North Carolina.

Meanwhile, the weekend's success propelled the Boilermakers to lead the Big Ten with a .289 batting average and .381 on base percentage. Moreover, Purdue leads the conference with 98 runs scored, taking a 28-run advantage over the No. 2 program (Nebraska, 70).

Coming up, Purdue is slated to take on #19 Virginia Tech twice. The matchups are the highest ranked nonconference opponent since the Boilermakers took on No. 10 LSU on March 3, 2018 (L, 6-2).
