PURDUE NOTES
• With 11 dual wins overall and four in conference battles, head coach Tony Ersland already has the Boilermakers at their highest season marks since 2013, when the Boilermakers were 17-6 overall and 5-3 in Big Ten duals.
• The Boilermakers have eight individuals ranked in both the NCAA Coaches' Rankings and RPI this week, including four wrestlers with top-eight marks in both polls.
• Senior Dylan Lydy is off to the best start at Purdue since 2003, sitting at 27-1 overall on the season, including a 15-1 mark in duals and 7-1 Big Ten Dual record.
• Lydy leads the Boilermakers with 10 major decisions, ranks second with 68 takedowns and has given up just four takedowns in 28 matches this season.
• With 107 career wins, Lydy ranks 12th in program history and is two shy of matching Logan Brown for 11th all-time, and his 262 career takedowns are 15th, just one behind Scott Hinkel.
• Junior Devin Schroder is 23-4 on the year, the best mark by a Boilermaker 125-pounder since Chris Fleeger finished 32-1 in 2003.
• Schroder's eight technical falls on the season (seven vs. NCAA DI opponents) make him 1-of-3 Boilermakers in the last 20 years to post at least eight in a season (Alex Griffin, 10 – 2016-17, Jake Patacsil, 12 – 2008-09 & 14 – 2007-08).
• With 380 career back points, Schroder ranks third all-time at Purdue, trailing Hinkel by 11 for second, and his 146 this season are sixth in the Boilermaker record book, needing five more to pass Frank Patacsil for fifth.
• Freshman Kendall Coleman took his first loss of the season to an individual ranked outside the top-five Friday vs. Nebraska, as he was forced to injury default in concussion protocol in the second period.
• Coleman's 89 takedowns on the season are a team-best and the most by a Purdue freshman since Cashé Quiroga posted 124 in 2009-10.
• Coleman's 26 wins rank eighth on Purdue's freshman record list, just three shy of a spot in the top-five all-time, and four short of becoming just the fifth rookie at Purdue to hit the 30-win mark.
• Senior Christian Brunner is five wins shy of becoming the 18th wrestler in program history with 100 career wins.
• Brunner ranks ninth all-time at Purdue with 216 career back points and has a team-high seven falls this season.
