PURDUE NOTES
The Boilermakers are 40-62-3 all-time against Indiana in dual competition, but have won nine straight duals entering Monday, a streak that dates to 2011, and have won four in a row in Bloomington.
• Monday's dual is also for a point in the annual Governor's Cup all-sport competition between the Boilermakers and Hoosiers. Indiana currently leads the 2019-20 standings 3.5-2.0.
• With his championship victory at the Midlands Championships, Lydy earned his 100th career victory and became the 17th wrestler in program history to win 100 matches at Purdue.
• Lydy won 21 straight matches to open the 2019-20 season, marking the best start for a Boilermaker since Chris Fleeger opened the 2002-03 season 32-0 at 125 pounds.
• Lydy is 1-of-8 wrestlers in the last 10 years to win both the CKLV Invitational and the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships in the same season. He joins Sebastian Rivera (125, 2018), Ryan Deakin (157, 2018), Zahid Valencia (174, 2016 & 2017), Adam Coon (285, 2013), Robert Kokesh (174, 2012), Dustin Kilgore (197, 2012) and Chris Honeycutt (197, 2011).
• Lydy has only surrendered takedowns in two of his 22 matches this season, with nine of his 21 wins on the year coming over ranked opponents.
• Brunner is seven wins shy of becoming the 18th wrestler in program history to hit the century mark, and is already ninth all-time at Purdue with 216 career back points.
• Schroder leads the Boilermakers with 11 bonus point wins this year, including six by technical fall.
• His five tech falls over Division I opponents is tied for fifth in the nation and have come in a cumulative 15:18.
• Schroder's 114 back points this season are already tied for 10th in program history.
• With 348 back points for his career, Schroder is already third all-time at Purdue.
• Coleman put together the best career start in program history, winning his first 15 matches of his freshman season and leads the Boilermakers with 21 wins and 68 takedowns this year.
• Seven of Coleman's 21 wins are over currently ranked individuals, and he is 14-0 against unranked competition. His six losses have all come to individuals ranked in the top-five in the NCAA.
• Coleman placed fourth at both the CKLV Invitational and the Midlands Championship.
• Parriott is scheduled to return to the starting lineup Monday after missing last weekend's Big Ten openers with an injury from Midlands.
• In his first season at 149 pounds (after dropping from 157 in 2017-18 and 2018-19, where he was an NCAA qualifier) Parriott is 13-4 with a fourth-place effort at CKLV and a trio of ranked wins.
• The Boilermakers will be without 165-pound freshman Emil Soehnlen for the rest of the year after suffering a leg injury in December which required season-ending surgery.
