WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's golf team will play in its 23rd consecutive postseason, earning the No. 8 seed in the Norman Regional for the 2019 NCAA Championships. Purdue has its sights set on its 18th NCAA Championships appearance, set to compete in the 18-team field at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club from May 6 to 8. The top six teams and top three individuals after 54 holes will move on to compete at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas, beginning May 17.
The Boilermakers last qualified for the national tournament in 2017, earning a fifth-place finish at Ohio State's Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio, and went on to take 11th in the final championship field. August Kim led the way for Purdue, tying for fourth place overall at three-over 219 after rain shortened the stroke play to 54 holes.
The Norman Regional is led by No. 1 seed Texas, followed by No. 2 seed Wake Forest, while the Boilermakers are the only Big Ten team in their region.
