The Purdue women's tennis team is set for its next tournament of the fall this weekend at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional in Murfreesboro, Tenn., hosted by Middle Tennessee State.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. –
The Purdue women's tennis team is set for its next tournament of the fall this weekend at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional in Murfreesboro, Tenn., hosted by Middle Tennessee State.

The entire Purdue lineup will compete in the main draws of singles and doubles. On Thursday morning, Nikol Dobrilova will open against Romana Tarajova from Southeast Missouri, Zala Dovnik will face Fabienne Schmidt from Appalachian State and Nathalia Wolf Gasparin will meet Gabriell Ochalik of IUPUI. Seira Shimizu and Alex Sabe will start their singles tournaments against a pair from host Middle Tennessee State in Lidia Burrows and Muskan Gupta, respectively.

Csilla Fodor and Ena Babic received byes for the first round thanks to their seeding as No. 9 and No. 5, respectively.

For the doubles draw, Shimizu and Dobrilova will play Southeast Missouri's Rarajova and Kseniya Zonova in the opening round. Fodor and Babic will square off with Louisville's Raven Neely and Diana Wong. Sabe and Dovnik will continue their partnership against Noelle Mauro and Gupta from Middle Tennessee State.

This weekend will be the first time this fall that the Boilermakers will be at one tournament. Babic and Fodor have competed separately from the remainder of the roster at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic and the ITA All-America Championships.

Dovnik and Sabe have started the fall strong. Dovnik sits at 4-1 in singles action, while Sabe has a 5-1 mark. In doubles, the pairing took third-place honors at the Purdue Invitational to open the year.

The ITA Regional Championships feature some of the top men's and women's players across the country. Over 8,000 student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, Junior and Community Colleges compete across 85 ITA Regional Championships around the country. In Division I, regional doubles champions and regional singles champions and finalists qualify for the season-ending Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.
