The Purdue men's tennis team played its first road match of the season Sunday, dropping a 4-2 decision at Drake.

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Purdue men's tennis team played its first road match of the season Sunday, dropping a 4-2 decision at Drake.

The Boilermakers' two wins came in singles, with junior Athell Bennett defeating Barny Thorold 7-6, 6-3, and junior Stephan Koenigsfest topping Bayo Philips 6-4, 7-5.

Purdue is back in action Jan. 27 on the Basham Courts at the Schwartz Tennis Center, taking on IUPUI at 3 p.m. ET.
