WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Big Ten Conference has announced that the Purdue men's basketball season opener against Green Bay has been moved to Nov. 6, in Mackey Arena.
 
The game was originally scheduled for Nov. 5, but both teams have agreed to move the contest back to Nov. 6. Tip time and television designation will be announced at a later date.
 
Purdue has sold out of its season-ticket allotment and fans still will have the option to purchase mini-pack tickets that will feature games against Indiana, Michigan State and defending national champion Virginia, but season tickets and mini-plans likely will be the only way to purchase tickets for these marquee games. Mini-plan packages will be announced in the next few weeks.
 
Purdue posted a 15-0 record at Mackey Arena a year ago, and this year's home slate features Virginia, Michigan State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana and Texas. The Boilermakers' 17-game homecourt winning streak is the sixth-longest streak in America, and Purdue is a nation's-best 63-4 at Mackey Arena over the last four years.
 
Purdue lost three starters but returns several key contributors from last year's NCAA Tournament Elite Eight squad. Nojel Eastern and Matt Haarms are returning starters as juniors, and regulars Evan BoudreauxAaron WheelerEric Hunter Jr.Trevion Williams and Sasha Stefanovic all return after strong seasons. Head coach Matt Painter also welcomes a highly regarded freshman class and high-scoring grad transfer Jahaad Proctor.
