Cuttino Earns Pan American Roster Spot

Danielle Cuttino will represent USA Volleyball at the 2019 Pan American Games.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - After completing in her first year of international play, Danielle Cuttino has been named to USA Volleyball's 14-player roster for the 2019 Pan American Games. Team USA is one-of-11 countries competing in the event held July 6-14 in Trujillo and Chiclayo, Peru
 
The USA is grouped in Pool B with Colombia, Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico and Puerto Rico. The Americans open defense of their 2017 and 2018 Pan Am Cup titles on July 6 against Colombia at 6 p.m. ET, followed by Trinidad & Tobago on July 7 at 4 p.m. and Mexico on July 8 at 6 p.m. Team USA concludes pool play on July 10 against Puerto Rico at 6 p.m. Pool A consists of Argentina, Canada, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Peru.
 
Cuttino is one of two opposites on the USA roster, that also features four outside hitters, four middles, two setters and two liberos. The Indianapolis native capped off her collegiate career with a Big Ten-best 300 kills and 4.17 kills per set during the 2018 season. She earned a total of four All-America awards in her final season as a Boilermaker, giving her seven in her career. The seven All-America honors are the most awarded to any student-athlete in Purdue volleyball history. She also became the fourth First Team All-American in program history. She also earned her third AVCA All-Northeast Region honor of her career and her second unanimous All-Big Ten selection of her career. She was named espnW National Player of the Week following Purdue's 2017 victories over Minnesota and Wisconsin.
