WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Big Ten Conference released the schedule rotation for the 2019-20 women's basketball season Wednesday, unveiling the Boilermakers' 18 opponents for next year. Purdue will play a home-and-away series with five teams, host four teams for a single-play in Mackey Arena and go on the for a road contest four times as well.
The Boilermakers will face Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State and Wisconsin twice in 2019-20, head on the road to play defending Big Ten Champion Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska and Northwestern, and host Iowa, Minnesota, Penn State and Rutgers.
Purdue maintains its two-game slate against archrival Indiana, but had just one game against its other four double-plays in 2018-19. The Boilermakers earned home wins against Illinois and Ohio State, while falling at Wisconsin and Michigan State in the lone meetings on this year's schedule. Purdue will also have just a single-play against Maryland and Michigan for the second straight season, heading back to both schools for the first time since 2017, where they earned upset road wins in both locations.
