WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue men's tennis (6-7, 0-2) is set to host No. 13 Illinois (7-6, 2-0) Sunday at noon ET at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
The Fighting Illini bring two ranked singles players and one ranked doubles team. They are No. 14 Aleksandar Kovacevic, No. 31 Alex Brown and No. 45 doubles partners Alex Brown and Caleb Chakravarth.
Purdue last broke into the rankings Feb 6 with No. 108 Athell Bennett.

Illinois leads the series history over Purdue, winning four of the last five matchups. In each of those matches, Illinois was ranked No. 23 or better.
In 2017, the Boilermakers upset No. 23 Illinois 4-3. Purdue won the doubles point amd got big-time singles victories from Bennett and Stephan Koenigsfest to secure the upset. Bennett defeated Noe Khlif 6-3, 7-6(4), while Koenigsfest defeated Julian Childers 6-3, 6-1.
