Men's Tennis Set to Play in Oracle Challenge

Purdue men's tennis will play in the BNP Paribas Open Collegiate Tennis Challenge for the third straight year.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue men's tennis (5-5, 0-2) will play in the BNP Paribas Open Collegiate Tennis Challenge for the third straight year. The Boilermakers have faced Cal (6-5, 2-0) every time in the first round of the tournament. 

The tournament begins Friday in Indian Wells, California, at Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Purdue's first match will begin at 5 p.m. ET.
 
The tournament features eight teams: No. 6 Baylor, Idaho, Cal, USC, Cornell, Arizona State and No. 13 Michigan.

First Round:
Arizona State vs. No. 13 Michigan, Friday, 11 a.m. ET
USC vs. Cornell, Friday, 2 p.m. ET
Purdue vs. Cal, Friday, 5 p.m. ET
No. 6 Baylor vs. Idaho, Friday, 8 p.m. ET

Last year, the Boilermakers lost the first two rounds before sweeping SMU 4-0 in their final round. In 2017, Purdue defeated No. 45 Tulsa in their third match 4-1.
