WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
  The No. 19-ranked Purdue men's basketball team opens Big Ten play Saturday as it travels to Ann Arbor to face one of America's hottest teams in No. 7-ranked Michigan. 

The contest will be televised on ESPN with Dan Shulman, Dan Dakich and Kris Budden calling the action courtside, beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET. 

On the radio waves, the contest will be available on the Purdue Radio Network and TuneIn.com, with Rob Blackman and Nate Barrett on the call, beginning with the Purdue Basketball pregame show at 2:30 p.m.

Purdue is looking to bounce back after a one-point setback in the ACC / Big Ten Challlenge on Wednesday night. 

Following this game, Purdue returns to Mackey Arena for the first time in 13 days when it hosts Maryland on Dec. 6. 

THE TWO TEAMS
• Purdue is 5-2 after falling late to No. 15-ranked Florida State 73-72 on Wednesday in Tallahassee. The Seminoles ended the game on a 9-0 run after Purdue had led 72-64 with 3:43 to play. 
Carsen Edwards led Purdue with 24 points and four assists while Ryan Cline added a career-high 21 points on seven 3-pointers. 
• Purdue is averaging over 83 points per game, using a strong outside attack. The Boilermakers are sixth nationally in 3-pointers per game (12.0). 
• Purdue has outrebounded every foe this year, outrebounding foes by 10.1 per game.
• Purdue will have to go against America's best defense in Michigan, which is allowing foes to score just 51.0 points per game. While playing one of the country's slowest paces, the Wolverines have held every team its played under 70 points.
• Freshman Ignas Brazdeikis leads Michigan at 16.9 PPG, while Charles Matthews averages 15.4 PPG. 

THE TALKING POINTS
• Purdue is 9-4 under Matt Painter in Big Ten openers, having won eight of its last nine league openers. 
• Purdue's last seven regular-season losses have come by three, four, one, three, four, six and one point -- a combined 22 points. 
• Purdue is sixth in offensive efficiency. Michigan is first in defensive efficiency. 
• Purdue is the only team in the country to have two players make at least 25 3-pointers this year. Both Ryan Cline and Carsen Edwards have 28 triples this year. 
• The seven 3-pointers made by both Edwards (Fairfield) and Cline (Florida State) are the fourth most in a game in school history. Cline set a Big Ten / ACC Challenge record with his seven triples. 
• Purdue has made at least 11 3-pointers in five straight games.
Ryan Cline is 24 of 48 (.500) from 3-point range in the last five games.
