 The Purdue men's basketball team hits the road Wednesday at Florida State to begin its toughest stretch of the season. 

Tip is scheduled for 9:15 p.m. ET, at the Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The contest will be televised on ESPN2 with Rich Hollenberg and LaPhonso Ellis calling the action courtside. 

On the radio waves, the contest will be available on the Purdue Radio Network and TuneIn.com, with Larry Clisby and Rob Blackman on the call, beginning with the Purdue Basketball pregame show at 8:15 p.m. 

Live stats will be provided on PurdueSports.com, and as always, Twitter updates will be available on Purdue's official account (@BoilerBall). 

Purdue remains on the road for the Big Ten opener Saturday, when it heads to Ann Arbor to face No. 7-ranked and unbeaten Michigan at 3:30 p.m., on ESPN.

THE TWO TEAMS
• Purdue is 5-1 after disposing of Robert Morris 84-46 on Friday. 
• This will be Purdue's second ACC opponent in the last three games after it fell to No. 10-ranked Virginia Tech in the Charleston Classic championship game on Nov. 18.
Carsen Edwards continues to pace Purdue in points (25.3) and assists (4.2), while Ryan Cline averages 14.3 points and 3.7 assists per game. 
• Purdue ranks in the nation's top 25 in 3-pointers per game (5th), rebound margin (14th) and scoring margin (25th). Purdue also ranks 28th in scoring offense (85.3). 
• Florida State is also 5-1 after falling to Villanova in the championship game of the Advocare Invitational at Disney World. 
• The Seminoles own victories over powers Florida and LSU as well as wins over Tulane, Canisius and UAB.
• Terance Mann leads a balanced offensive attack at 12.8 points per game. In all, nine players average at least 4.8 points per game.

THE TALKING POINTS
Matt Painter won his 300th game of his Purdue career Friday vs. Robert Morris. 
• There are three players on the rosters that played at Don Bosco Institute in Crown Point, Ind. Purdue's Grady Eifert and Florida State's Mfiondu Kabengele and Malik Osborne (redshirt) all excelled in prep school at Don Bosco. 
• Purdue has been ranked in 19 consecutive AP Top 25 polls, the seventh-longest active streak in the country.
• Purdue has made 52 of 125 (.416) from 3-point range over the last four games.
• Over the last three years, Purdue's 41.0 3-point percentage is the third-best percentage nationally (Marquette - .418; Weber St. - .414).
• Purdue has won three of its last four road games in the ACC / Big Ten Challenge.
Carsen Edwards' 152 points through the first five games are the seventh most in Purdue history. 
Ryan Cline needs two 3-pointers to become the 16th player in school history with 150 triples.
