WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue freshman wide receiver Rondale Moore is one of five finalists for the Paul Hornung Award, which is presented annually to the most versatile player in college football.

Moore leads the Big Ten Conference and ranks third nationally with an average of 170.8 all-purpose yards per game, while his 1,537 all-purpose yards rank 11th on the Purdue season list in merely nine games played.

Moore has possessed the football 119 times and is averaging 12.9 yards per touch. He has 23 plays of 20 or more yards, including a 76-yard touchdown rush and a 70-yard scoring reception.

Moore leads the Big Ten and ranks third nationally with 74 receptions (13th on the Purdue season list). He is second in the conference with 833 receiving yards and fifth with seven receiving touchdowns. Moore is the Boilermakers' leader in kickoff returns (24 for 459 yards) and punt returns (10 for 82 yards).

The 17-person Paul Hornung Award National Selection Committee chose the finalists. The winner will be announced Dec. 5.
