SCOUTING ILLINOIS (8-6, 3-4 B1G)
• The Fighting Illini are coming off a 1-1 weekend on the road. First, Illinois took on Maryland and notched a 1-0 victory, but then fell to RV Rutgers in overtime, 0-1.
• Illinois has found the back of the net 25 times throughout the 2018 season, good for third in the B1G and is also averaging 11.2 shots per game.
• Katie Murray leads the team with 13 points made up of five goals and three assists. Meanwhile, Makena Silber owns a team-high 31 shots on the season.
• Illinois puts the ball on frame 53.5 percent of the time, which is the most among Big Ten programs in addition to 28th in the nation.
• Purdue has won the past three meetings against the Fighting Illini, including in 2016, when the Boilermakers were last in Champagne.

• Northwestern owns a 16-9 scoring advantage over its opponents this season and a .430 shots on goal percentage.
• While nine Wildcats have scored this season, Brenna Lovera registers a team-high six goals,15 points and 26 shots.
• Goalkeeper Mackenzie Wood has seen action for all 1,319 minutes this season, accumulating a 0.61 goals against average, 49 saves and a .845 save percentage. Wood has produced seven shutouts during the 2018 campaign, including one during B1G play (vs. Penn State, 1-0).
• Northwestern enters Week 9 with two straight losses on the road to Rutgers (1-0) and Maryland (2-1).

• The Boilermakers went 0-2 during Week 8 at Folk Field. First, Purdue hosted the Hammer Down Cancer game vs. Minnesota last Friday, which ended in a 2-1 loss before Wisconsin upended Purdue on Senior Day.
• Kylie Hase secured Purdue's lone goal vs. Minnesota on a header. The ball was served off a corner kick from Sarah Clark, marking the fifth time of the 2018 season Clark has served in the ball for Hase's goal.
• Ena Sabanagic earned her first career start against Wisconsin.
LUCE HITS CAREER MILESTONE
• Sophomore Katie Luce rose through the Purdue goalkeeper ranks to earn the eighth most minutes in the net in program history with 2,387.
VS. B1G OPPONENTS
• Half of Purdue's B1G games this season (three of six) have gone to overtime, marking the most extra-minute battles Purdue has faced in a season.
• Although four matches remain, Purdue's three tie 2009 and 2005 as the most overtime battles in an entire B1G season.
• Purdue has allowed just five goals heading into October, marking just the second time in eight years the Boilermakers have allowed five goals or less through its first four B1G games (2017 - three goals allowed).
• Each game has been decided by one point or less.
