Cline, Eifert and Edwards to Attend Big Ten Media Day

Purdue seniors Ryan Cline and Grady Eifert and junior Carsen Edwards will attend Big Ten Media Day in Chicago on Oct. 10 and 11.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Big Ten Conference has announced that Purdue seniors Ryan Cline and Grady Eifert and junior Carsen Edwards will attend Big Ten Media Day in Chicago on Oct. 10 and 11.

The three Purdue players are part of 36 student-athletes, including 17 returning All-Big Ten selections from the 2017-18 season. Three Big Ten first-team honorees (Nebraska's James Palmer, Wisconsin's Ethan Happ and Purdue's Edwards) will be in attendance.

The trio, along with head coach Matt Painter, will take part in media day activities Oct. 11, running most of the day in Chicago.

Purdue's senior class of Cline and Eifert owns an 83-24 record, needing 24 wins to tie the school record for most wins by a senior class. The 83 wins are the ninth most in the country over the last three years. The Boilermakers are one of six programs to reach consecutive Sweet 16s.

The Boilermakers went 30-7 overall and 15-3 in the Big Ten a year ago. Purdue's senior class is a combined and Big Ten-best 41-13 over the last three seasons.

Purdue opens the regular season Nov. 6, when it hosts Fairfield. The Boilermakers' lone home exhibition game will be Nov. 1, against Marian University (Ind.).
