GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The women's 4x400- and 4x200-meter relays broke school records on the final day of the Florida Relays. The 4x400-meter team's time is the third-best outdoors in the history of the Big Ten Conference.

The 4x200-meter relay team of senior Devynne Charlton, sophomore Chloe Abbott, senior Brionna Thomas and senior Savannah Roberson posted the top collegiate time at the meet. The group finished with a time of 1:32.38 to win by 1.69 seconds over the next closest school. Abbott and Thomas were also part of the 4x400-meter relay team that wrapped up the meet. Abbott led off before handing to Thomas with Purdue in the lead. Senior Symone Black had the third leg and kept Purdue in the top two with a split under 53 seconds. Senior Jahneya Mitchell ran the anchor leg and closed in 51.22 seconds to bring the baton across the line in 3:28.52. That time broke the school record by 2.18 seconds.

The women's sprint medley relay took second in the meet. Sophomore Sekayi Bracey led off with a 200-meter leg before handing to classmate Myia Dorsey. Dorsey kept the Boilermakers out front after her 200-meter leg. Junior Kyelah Hodges ran the 400-meter leg, before sophomore Samara Miller closed with the 800-meter leg. The team finished with a time of 3:51.96.

The women's shuttle hurdle relay team was also second at the meet. The team of Charlton, Black, sophomore Alexis Pierre-Antoine and Roberson finished with a time of 54.85 seconds.

Junior Janae' Moffitt was runner-up in the women's high jump. She cleared 1.76 meters (5-9.25). Freshman Molly Leppelmeier took sixth in the women's shot put Saturday. She finished with a best mark of 14.67 meters (48-1.50). Senior Micaela Hazlewood was ninth in the invitational section of the shot put. She had a best throw of 14.93 meters (48-11.75).

On the men's side, freshman Rahman Minor was sixth in the high jump. He cleared 2.16 meters (7-1.00). That was tied for the fourth-best clearance of the competition, though he was sixth on misses. The 4x200-meter relay team of sophomore Waseem Williams, junior Keanu Pennerman, junior Malcolm Dotson and freshman Jordan Hollis took ninth Saturday. Hollis made up ground during the anchor leg and brought the stick across in 1:25.69.

Freshman Jalil Brewer was seventh in the shot put with an outdoor personal record. He threw 17.96 meters (58-11.00).

The Boilermakers are back in action next weekend as they again travel south to SEC territory. Purdue will compete in the four-team LSU Battle on the Bayou in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, next Saturday.
