WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Saturday's snow fall has led to the cancellation of the rubber game of the Purdue-Lipscomb baseball series at Alexander Field that was slated for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
Purdue Sports Turf and the coaching staff worked to make Alexander Field playable Sunday, but the multiple inches of snow ultimately led to the cancellation.
The game will not be made up. Fans with tickets for Sunday's game or any rescheduled game this season can exchange those tickets for general admission seats for any future home date this year.
The Purdue duffle bag giveaway planned for this weekend will be rescheduled for later this season, likely as part of another kids day game on a Saturday or Sunday.
The Boilermakers' next game is their midweek opener Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET vs. Valparaiso. All general admission tickets, hot dogs, nachos and domestic draft beers are specially priced at just $2 for all midweek games at Alexander Field.
Purdue's next home weekend is April 13 to 15 vs. Minnesota.
