Four Winds Invitational Leaderboard / Meijer LPGA Classic
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Recent Purdue women's golf graduate August Kim begins her professional career this weekend debuting at the Symetra Tour's Four Winds Invitational in South Bend, Indiana. After this weekend's three-day, 54-hole event, Kim will make her Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) debut at the Meijer LPGA Classic in Grand Rapids, Michigan on June 15.
Kim joins a rich tradition of Purdue women's golfers in the professional ranks, including Laura Gonzalez Escallon, Paula Reto, Maude-Aimee Leblanc, Maria Hernandez and Christel Boeljon. Gonzalez Escallon, Reto and Leblanc are currently in action at the Manulife LPGA Classic in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.
Other events on the horizon for Kim include a pair of events in Michigan, the inaugural Donald Ross Centennial Classic in French Lick, Indiana, and the U.S. Women's Open, set for July 13-16 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Kim completed an outstanding Boilermaker career in grand fashion, earning First Team All-America honors after tying for fourth place at the 2017 NCAA Championships at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois. She posted the third-best single-season stroke average in program history, carding 72.55 per round on the year, and placed in the top-10 in eight of 11 tournaments.
