COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Following her club season abroad in Germany, Val Nichol comes back to the states to train with USA Volleyball for the first time in her career. The move back to the states comes briefly after she led Allianz MTV Stuttgart to the Germany Championships.
Nichol is one-of-four players to join the training roster and is the only setter of the four additions. Additional players will be added to the roster to train with the No. 2 team in the world following the completion of their pro leagues overseas or as they finish their college's academic year. The roster changes week-to-week as new athletes are added or removed.
The Purdue alum is a two-time All-American and a two-time All-Northeast Region and All-Big Ten selection in her career as a Boilermaker. Nichol also owns the most triple-doubles in program history with four spanning from 2013 to 2014.
