Devynne Charlton broke a school record and Chloe Abbott moved up three top-10 lists in program history Saturday at LSU. The Boilermakers won five events at the one-day Battle on the Bayou.

Charlton took down her own school record in the 100-meter hurdles. The junior won the event with a wind-legal (+0.8) time of 12.97 seconds to break her own school record of 13.00 seconds from the 2015 NCAA Championships. Charlton's time ranks seventh in the NCAA this year and is No. 1 in the Big Ten.

Charlton also ran a leg of the 4x100-meter relay that finished second with a time of 44.55 seconds. The team of Charlton, Carmiesha Cox, Savannah Roberson and Symone Black posted the third fastest time in school history and No. 2 time in the Big Ten this season. Charlton also finished runner-up in the 100m dash with a wind-legal (+2.0) time of 11.47 seconds.

Abbott's first event Saturday was the 400m dash. She ran an outdoor best time of 53.36 seconds to finish sixth overall. Her time ranks third in school history. Abbott also ran the 200m dash and ran a lifetime best time of 23.72 seconds (+0.4) to finish fourth. Her time ranks fourth in school history. Abbott was also the third leg of Purdue's 4x400m relay `A' team. The team of Samara Miller, Symone Black, Abbott and Carmiesha Cox ran a time of 3:34.16 to finish second in the race. Their time is Purdue's best this season and ranks third in school history. The time is 13th in the country this year.

Black finished third in the 400m hurdles. She ran a time of 56.46 seconds, which is just off her season best, which she ran last week. Though not a season best, her time is behind only four other individuals in the NCAA this season.

Kiara McIntosh ran a personal record time in the women's 800m run. She crossed the finish line in 2:06.97 to finish third. Her time is the fifth fastest in school history. Susan Hubbard also had a PR in the event, running a time of 2:11.19.

Roberson had a PR of her own in the 100m hurdles. The junior finished sixth with a wind-legal (+0.8) time of 13.49 seconds. Her time ranks sixth in school history. Katrina May had a PR in the pole vault after clearing 3.72m (12-2.50). She finished fourth.

The Purdue women's discus throwers all had season bests Saturday. Micaela Hazlewood won with a mark of 53.32m (174-11). Chelsie Meeks finished second with a throw of 47.81m (156-10), while Sarah Loesch was fourth with a throw of 45.85m (150-5).

Alisha Bahler won the hammer throw with a toss of 55.06m (180-8). Loesch was runner-up with a toss of 54.59m (179-1).

On the men's side, Kinard Rolle had a PR in the 400m dash. He finished third with a time of 46.86 seconds. Kyle Webb was fourth in the race with a time of 47.32 seconds. Christopher Bluish had a PR in the 800m run. He finished with a time of 1:53.15. Justin Veteto was third in the 110m hurdles. He ran a wind-legal (+2.0) time of 14.10 seconds.

Obokhare Ikpefan won the men's 400m hurdles. He ran a time of 50.36 seconds to win by nearly four seconds. Anaquan Peterson and Gerald McGee finished third and fourth, respectively, in the long jump. Peterson had a best of 7.36m (24-1.75) (-0.7), while McGee was just one centimeter behind him (+1.2). Peterson also won the triple jump with a mark of 15.54m (50-11.75) (+0.4).

The Boilermakers will be back in action next week at the Louisville Invitational.
