WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue women's golf team continues the spring season Monday, heading back to Georgia for the second straight week for the second-annual Henssler Intercollegiate, hosted by Kennesaw State University at Pinetree Country Club. The Boilermakers are coming off a tournament victory at Forest Hills Country Club in Augusta, Georgia last weekend, and hope to make it two straight.

The Boilermakers have now logged a pair of tournament victories this season, topping the field at the season-opening Minnesota Invitational and shooting 14-over, 878, to take the 3M Augusta Invitational last weekend. It marks the first season with multiple tournament wins for the Boilermakers since 2013, when Purdue topped four event fields, including the 2013 Big Ten Championships.

Purdue has seen several of the top marks in program history already come out of the 2016-17 season, including last weekend's 878, tied for the 30th-best 54-hole mark at Purdue. Their opening round, 282, at The Dickson marked the No. 8 18-hole team score all-time for the Boilermakers, while their eight-over, 872, at the Landfall Tradition tied the 17th-best 54-hole team score in program history.

Senior August Kim has led the charge and is still in search of her first event title of the season, despite averaging just 72.3 strokes-per-round this year. She's played 12-of-18 rounds at par or better this season with four top-10 finishes, and will be one of the top-ranked individual players in the field again this weekend.

Play opens Monday, March 27, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. ET. The field will play 36 holes Monday, and follow with the final 18 Tuesday, beginning with another 9 a.m. shotgun start.

The second-annual Henssler Intercollegiate features five top-50 ranked programs, and a wealth of familiar faces for the Old Gold & Black. The Boilermakers will see repeat opponents in Kent State, Texas Tech, Augusta, Maryland, Memphis, Troy, tournament host Kennesaw State, Virginia Tech and Eastern Michigan, resulting in just four first-time opponents in the 14-team field.
