WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Coming off of a two-win weekend, the Purdue men's tennis team looks to extend its streak to three when facing No. 23 Illinois at 6 p.m. Wednesday inside the Schwartz Tennis Center.

The Fighting Illini are the fourth ranked squad on the Boilermakers' schedule, but the first to compete at Purdue. Previously, the team dropped matches at No. 5 Georgia, at No. 13 Baylor and at No. 11 Texas.

Additionally, the rare midweek match is Boilermakers' first Big Ten competition of the season; Illinois opened conference play with a 5-2 win over Indiana on Feb. 12, but hasn't faced another since.

The border rivals both enter with a lineup of ranked players. Purdue's Gergely Madarasz is No. 89 in singles and No. 7 in doubles with partner Ricky Medinilla. The duo picked up two victories Saturday on court one against DePaul and IUPUI. Additionally, the Fighting Illini travel with two top-30 singles players in No. 23 Aron Hiltzik and No. 29 Aleks Vukic.

As with all home matches this season, coverage includes both live scoring and streaming on PurdueSports.com.
