WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
The track & field teams head to the University of Notre Dame for the two-day Meyo Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The meet is scheduled to begin Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET and Saturday at 9:45 a.m.

The Boilermakers will be up against top teams from across the eastern half of the United States including Notre Dame, Louisville, Miami, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech. Big Ten conference foes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota and Ohio State are also scheduled to compete at the prestigious meet. The 13th ranked women's team will be up against ranked foes No. 9 Notre Dame and No. 12 Michigan, while the men will be up against No. 19 Michigan.

Purdue has had great success at the Meyo Invitational, including setting three of the standing school records. Over the last two years, the Boilermakers have broken eight school records at this meet.

The Boilermakers begin action with the women's long jump. Savannah Carson, Yamani Hunter and Jaden Mattox will compete for Purdue. Purdue will send 29 women and 25 men to compete over the two days. The women's 60-meter hurdles will feature two of the top three individuals in the country, including No. 3 Devynne Charlton. Charlton will be up against fellow Bahamian Pedrya Seymour of Illinois, who is currently No. 2 in the country. Kimberly Golding of Minnesota is also entered in the event and has the nation's No. 13 time on the year, while Ebony Morrison of Miami will also compete. She is tied for 18th this year.

The women's 60m dash will also have tough competition. Charlton currently has the No. 11 time in the country at 7.30 seconds. She'll run against teammate Savannah Carson, who has a PR of 7.32 seconds, and Carmiesha Cox, who has run 7.35 this season. Miami's Kristina Knott is also in the event and is tied for 15th in the country this season with a time of 7.31 seconds. Agata Forkasiewicz of Toledo will also compete and is tied with Charlton this season.

On the men's side, Jaret Carpenter will be tested in the mile. He'll be up against some of the top athletes from Michigan, who have multiple runners in the top 10 in the country in the event. Malcolm Dotson will compete in the 60m dash and 200m dash. The sophomore is coming off his best meet of the new year in both events.

The men's 400m runners will be among the highlights. Kinard Rolle, Shawndail McLaren, Obokhare Ikpefan and Kyle Webb will be up against Michigan's Taylor McLaughlin, who is No. 18 in the country. Rolle is currently No. 20.

In the men's long jump, Gerald McGee is on the verge of a breakout performance. The junior was consistent a week ago and just missed on a couple huge jumps. He will compete alongside Matthew Garrison.
