LEXINGTON, Ky. -
The Boilermakers added five marks to their all-time top-10 lists Saturday at the Rod McCravy Memorial Invitational. Freshman Chloe Abbott and junior Carmiesha Cox led the way with a pair of top 10 marks.

Abbott started the day in the 400m dash. She finished runner-up in the ninth heat with a time of 55.36 seconds. That is her Purdue best by 0.62 of a second and moves her into ninth in school history in the event. She then anchored the women's 4x400-meter relay, after Symone Black led off, Myia Dorsey took the second leg and Carmiesha Cox ran the third leg, and brought home a fourth-place finish with a time of 3:37.56. That time is the third-fastest in school history. Dorsey, also a freshman, put her name on the top-10 list for the first time as a Boilermaker.

Cox opened the day with the 60m dash prelims. She ran a time of 7.44 seconds to grab the last spot in the finals by 0.001 of a second. There, Cox ran a lifetime best time of 7.41 seconds to finish fifth overall. The time is a PR by 0.01 of a second and moves her from fourth into a tie for third in school history with Sybil Perry.

Jaret Carpenter added his name to a Purdue top-10 list for the second time in as many weeks. The freshman competed in his first collegiate 3,000-meter race and hung with a talented lead pack throughout the race. Carpenter made a move in the final two laps to break out front with the top three and finished third with a time of 8:07.29. That is the fourth-fastest time in school history.

Alisha Bahler had a PR in the women's shot put. She advanced to finals with a throw of 15.22m (49-11.25). She neared 15m again in finals, but did not improve her mark and went on to finish ninth in the competition. Bahler moves from ninth up to seventh in school history.

Devynne Charlton had a season-best day in the 60-meter hurdles. She made finals after running a time of 8.09 seconds in the prelims, which was tied for the second fastest in the prelim and, at that time, was tied for the fastest in the country among collegians. In the final, Charlton was lined up next to Kendra Harrison, who is the world record holder in the 100m hurdles. Charlton stayed just behind her and ran a time of 8.05 seconds to take fourth and second among collegians.

Justin Veteto made the finals in the men's 60-meter hurdles after running a time of 8.12 seconds in the prelims. In the finals, he had to start in lane 1. He got out and chased a talented field before finishing seventh with a time of 8.03 seconds. That time is his best this season.

Brionna Thomas had a solid day in the 400m dash and ran her season-best time. Thomas stayed relaxed through the first 300 meters before making her move around the final turn and the home stretch. She finished with a time of 53.57 seconds, which was the ninth fastest at the meet. Sekayi Bracey just missed her PR in the women's 60m dash. She ran a time of 7.57 seconds, just 0.01 of a second behind what she ran a week ago.

Kiara McIntosh ran well in the women's mile and finished with a time of 4:52.42 seconds, a season best. That earned her a fourth-place finish. Sarah Tyler took 11th in the mile and finished with a six-second PR time of 5:01.92. Rachel Yuska was just off her PR in the event and crossed the line in 5:05.62.

Emma Benner nearly matched her 3,000-meter time identically from last week. The freshman finished eighth Saturday with a time of 9:40.36, just 0.07 of a second behind what she ran at the Purdue vs. Indiana Dual. Levi Taylor was in a similar situation in the men's 3k.
