WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The No. 12 Purdue women's golf team will wrap up its fall season this weekend, heading to Wilmington, North Carolina for the 15th-annual Landfall Tradition, hosted by UNC Wilmington at the Country Club of Landfall. The Boilermakers are set to battle another impressive field, looking to become just the second team to earn three championships at Landfall.

THE FIELD
Landfall hosts another elite field for the 2016 event, featuring seven of the top-20 teams in the nation and 12 of the top-50. Top-ranked Alabama headlines the field, looking to follow its Landfall crown in 2013, while three-time Landfall Champion Wake Forest returns to try and win its second title in the last three years. Purdue and Virginia are the only two other teams in the field to win at Landfall as the Cavaliers won in 2006 and Purdue win in 2005 and 2011.

AT THIS EVENT
This weekend will be the Boilermakers' 11th all-time showing at the Landfall Tradition, playing in the inaugural event in 2002, and capturing titles in 2005 and 2011. Purdue shares the Landfall Tradition record for the lowest opening round, shooting a one-under, 287, in 2007, while current LPGA players Christel Boeljon and Paula Reto earned individual titles in 2005 and 2011, respectively.
