WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Saturday's Gold and Black Scrimmage has been moved to West Lafayette Jr./Sr.High School as work continues to complete the new volleyball court in Holloway Gymnasium. The scrimmage, which is set to begin at 2 p.m. ET, will offer fans their first glimpse at the 2016 Boilermakers. The event is free and open to the public.
Progress is being made on the new court, which was necessitated by water damage that occurred in May, and it should be completed ahead of the team's Alumnae Scrimmage on Aug. 20.
Also due to the venue change, the annual Youth Clinic has been rescheduled for Aug. 20. The clinic, which has reached capacity, will take place from 9 to 10 a.m.
The Boilermakers reported to campus yesterday and begin preseason workouts today. The team welcomes Wyoming, Washington State and Kentucky to the newly laid Belin Court on Aug. 26 to 27 to open the 2016 campaign.
