EUGENE, Ore. -
The NCAA Championships are set to begin Wednesday for the Purdue track & field team. The Boilermakers have 15 entries over the four-day meet, including nine on the women's side. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. ET at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon. The men's meet is Wednesday and Friday, while the women will contest for the national championship Thursday and Saturday.

The meet will be broadcast by ESPN all four days. Wednesday's coverage will stream 3:30 p.m. ET to 11:30 p.m. on ESPN3, while ESPNU or ESPN2, depending on the women's college softball world series, will carry television coverage from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., before coverage flips to ESPN or ESPN2 until 11 p.m. Full broadcast schedule is at the bottom of the page.

The Boilermakers 15 entries are the most Purdue has had this millennium and the second-most of any Big Ten team at the meet. The women have nine entries, which is the most of any conference school. Twelve of Purdue's 15 entries are the school record holder in their respective event.

Chukwuebuka Enekwechi gets things started for Purdue. The senior is an 11-time All-American, including six-time first teamer, and is one of just two competitors to qualify for the national championships in the hammer throw and shot put. The hammer throw is the first non-multi event of the meet and begins at 5 p.m. ET. Enekwechi finished sixth in the country at the meet last year to earn first team All-America honors and was 11th in 2014 to garner second team accolades. He was 14th in the country as a freshman at the national championship.

Enekwechi also has the shot put Wednesday, which is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. He has qualified in the event twice before, and was 14th as a freshman and 22nd as a junior. He won the NCAA East Prelim in the shot put and this week was named the Great Lakes Region Field Athlete of the Year.

The men have all six entries competing Wednesday. The first track event is the 4x100-meter relay, with Gerald McGee, Malcolm Dotson, Kyle Webb and Keanu Pennerman or Nicholas Parks competing in the semifinals at 7:32.

The women begin Thursday with of their nine entries competing. The 4x100m relay team of Autumn Heath, Carmiesha Cox, Savannah Roberson and Savannah Carson get things started at 7:32 p.m. Jessica Harter is the lone field event athlete competing Thursday for the Boilermakers and is slated to begin the pole vault at 8 p.m.
