WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. --
The wait for Purdue's Gergely Madarasz is finally over. On Wednesday, 21 days after learning he received an at-large berth to the NCAA Tennis Championships, the redshirt sophomore will take to the court at the University of Tulsa's Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Madarasz will face 38th-ranked Martin Redlicki of UCLA at 10 a.m. ET in the first round of the 64-player single-elimination singles bracket in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The winner of Madarasz vs. Redlicki advances to face the winner of Tulane's third-seeded Dominik Koepfer vs. 23rd-ranked Max de Vroome of USC on Thursday.

Singles will be contested over the course of five days starting May 25. One round will be played each day, concluding with the national championship match on May 30. All matches shall be the best-of-three sets. No-ad scoring and a seven-point tiebreaker (first to seven points, must win by two points) at six-games-all will be used for all matches.

Automatic qualification into the Division I singles championships was awarded to any conference with one or more eligible singles players ranked in the Oracle/ITA top-125 for eligible/entered singles players. For conferences with more than one singles player within the Oracle/ITA top-125 eligible/entered singles players, the subcommittee applied the NCAA selection criteria to determine which student-athlete was the automatic qualifier from those conferences. All singles players must have had a minimum of 13 completed singles matches, with six matches in the spring, in order to be selected as an automatic qualifier or an at-large selection.

For a third time in championship history, the University of Tulsa is the final site of the NCAA Men's and Women's Tennis Championships. A field of 16 men's teams and 16 women's teams will compete for their respective team titles. Additionally, both 64-player singles and 32-team doubles championships will be contested. Tulsa has previously hosted the event in 2004 and 2008.
