BATON ROUGE, La. -
The Boilermakers had a huge day at the LSU Tiger Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The track & field teams have several huge personal records, including some that rank in the top five in the country.

Savannah Carson had a huge day, competing in the 100-meter dash, long jump and 4x100-meter relay. In the 100m dash, Carson had a PR performance, running 11.46 seconds (+1.4) to finish third. Carson's time ranks 28th in the country and second in program history. The outdoor sophomore then competed in the long jump, where she nearly broke the school record. Carson leapt a wind-legal 6.44m (21-1.50), which is the second-best mark in program history and just a centimeter off the school record. Carson won the gold medal in the event with a mark that ranks third in the country. In the 4x100m relay, Purdue's team with Carson ran a time of 44.37 seconds to finish fourth.

Carmiesha Cox had a strong day on the track as well. She ran a time of 11.54 seconds (+2.9) in the 100m dash to finish fifth. In the 200m dash, Cox ran a time of 23.47 seconds, just 0.14 of a second off her own school record. She also ran in the 4x100m relay team.

Jessica Harter had a huge day in the pole vault. The senior cleared 4.17m (13-8.25) for the first time in her career. The clearance is the second-best in program history and just three centimeters shy of the program record. Her clearance is tied for 20th in the country.

Savannah Roberson had a huge PR in the 200m dash Saturday. The sophomore ran a time of 23.73 seconds (+2.0), which is the third-fastest 200m dash in program history. Symone Black was good Saturday, as she finished second in the 400m hurdles. Black ran a time of 56.98 seconds, which is her best on the year. Black's time ranks 11th in the country.

Janae' Moffitt and Micaela Hazlewood had good days for the women in the field events. Moffitt finished third in the high jump after clearing 1.79m (5-10.50). Her clearance is 11th in the country. Hazlewood threw 14.75m (48-4.75) in the shot put, which ranks sixth in program history. She also finished fourth in the discus.

On the men's side, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi and Anaquan Peterson had solid days. Enekwechi was runner-up in the shot put with an outdoor PR of 19.54m (64-1.25). He also finished third in the hammer throw. Peterson won the triple jump with a windy best of 15.44m (50-8.00).

The Boilermakers return home from the trip and have the Louisville Border Battle scheduled for next week.
