WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -
The track & field teams host the annual Purdue vs. Indiana Dual on Saturday at Lambert Fieldhouse. The Boilermakers and Hoosiers square off at 1 p.m. ET and will battle for a pair of Governor's Cup points in the annual all-sport competition between the two intrastate rivals.

THE COMPETITION
The Boilermakers compete in their first dual meet of the season against the Indiana Hoosiers. The Purdue men are ranked 24th in the country, while Indiana is 67th in the preseason poll. On the women's side, the Boilermakers are 48th, while the Hoosiers are 80th.

RECENT MEET HISTORY
Last year's dual came down to the final race on the women's side, the 4x800 meter relay. The Boilermakers won the race by 0.001 of a second, a result that took nearly a minute to declare an official winner. That race pushed the Boilermakers over the top for a 72-64 win. Indiana's men beat the Boilermakers 80-55.

The last time in West Lafayette, the Boilermakers swept with a 70-55 win on the men's side, and 72-64 on the women's side. That was Purdue's first wins in the series since the rivalry renewed in 2010. Saturday's meet will be the 39th in a series that dates to 1910.

FORMAT
The meet will be scored as a dual with 5-3-1 scoring, and 5-0 in the relays. The winner of each race receives five points, the runner-up three and the third place finisher earns one for his or her team. In relays, only the winning team receives points, and that team earns five.

Each team is permitted just four entrants in each event. Every event is a final, though the 200m and 400m races will be run as two-section finals.

PURDUE HEADLINERS
Reigning men's Big Ten Athlete of the Week Chukwuebuka Enekwechi will be back at it in the shot put and weight throw. The senior holds the school and facility record in the weight throw with a mark that ranks in the top five in NCAA history. He is currently second in school history in the shot put.

Matthew McClintock will open his season Saturday with the 3,000-meter run. McClintock has run just one career race at Lambert Fieldhouse - the Purdue vs. Indiana Dual in 2014 where he finished fourth. McClintock is a four-time All-American in his career across cross country and track and field.

Kyle Webb and Malcolm Dotson highlight the sprints crew. In just two meets competing for the Boilermakers, both already have top 10 times in school history in the 60m dash. Webb also currently has the fourth-fastest 200m dash time in the country this season.

Devynne Charlton is scheduled to compete in the 60m dash, 60m hurdles and the 200m dash. Her times in the 60m dash and 60m hurdles are both program records, while her 200m time is second in program history. This season, she currently ranks second in the country in the hurdles.

Savannah Carson has already picked up a Big Ten weekly award this season. She will compete in the 60m dash and the long jump, where she ranks second and sixth in program history, respectively.

Carmiesha Cox is scheduled to run in the 200m dash and the 4x400m relay. Cox holds the 200m school record and is a member of the school record 4x4 team.

Janae' Moffitt headlines the women's high jump field. The freshman, who already ranks seventh in program history in the event after just two meets, is ninth nationally this season.
