WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The threat of inclement weather is once again wreaking havoc on the softball world, but the Boilermakers' weekend schedule will still feature five games at the Tennessee Invitational, albeit at slightly different times than originally scheduled.
Purdue's Friday game vs. Indiana State has been moved up to a 5:15 p.m. ET start, instead of the previously set 7 p.m. first pitch.
On Saturday, the Boilers will take on North Dakota State at 10 a.m. and Northern Iowa at 4:45 p.m. Originally, Purdue was set to face BYU at 4:30 and NDSU at 7.
On Sunday, the Boilermakers will play at 10 a.m. vs. Northern Iowa and against No. 11 Tennessee at 12:15 as originally scheduled.
The schedule changes were prompted by expected snow fall in Knoxville Wednesday night and Thursday and BYU's cancellation of its trip to the tournament.
Purdue (10-5) is taking the field for the first time since Feb. 22 as inclement weather forced the cancellation of last weekend's Frost Classic in Chattanooga, Tenn.
