INDIANAPOLIS -- Current Purdue divers Steele Johnson and Mary Beth Dunnichay as well as alumnus David Boudia have been selected to represent USA Diving on the FINA Diving World Series this spring.

The United States will send 13 divers to various stops on the FINA Diving World Series, an invitation-only circuit based on results from the 2014 FINA World Cup.

Boudia and Johnson will compete together in synchronized 10-meter in World Series meets in Windsor, Canada, and Mexico City scheduled for May. USA Diving's 2015 World Championships Trials are also set for May 15-17 at Indiana University's Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center.

Dunnichay will represent USA Diving in synchronized 10-meter the first weekend of May at a World Series meet in London.

The U.S. qualified for all stops on the World Series circuit in both men's synchronized events after Boudia and Johnson won bronze in synchronized 10-meter at last year's World Cup, where Boudia and Dorman were fourth in synchronized 3-meter. Although he did not compete the event at the World Cup last year, Boudia was also given an invitation to dive individually on 10-meter at the World Series. The U.S. also will compete in women's synchronized 10-meter at one World Series meet after earning an invitation due to Amy Cozad and Katrina Young finishing eighth at the World Cup.

Boudia, a two-time Olympian and 2012 Olympic gold medalist, will go to four FINA World Series meets total. Four-time Olympian Troy Dumais will attend three World Series meets. Johnson is among a group of four men's divers that will take part in two.

Dunnichay, a 2008 Olympian, will return to international competition for the first time since 2011 with the one stop on the FINA World Series circuit. Also selected for one World Series meet are Bradley Christensen, Kristian Ipsen, Bryce Klein, David Dinsmore and Delaney Schnell.

Synchronized teams can be substituted throughout the World Series circuit. Because of conflicts with availability due to the NCAA season and school schedules and because Boudia has chosen to focus solely on 10-meter this season after doing springboard events a year ago, the U.S. will send teams other than those who qualified to many of the events.
