WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- New head coach Drew Roff has unveiled Purdue women's soccer's 2015 spring schedule, an exhibition slate that features three home dates as well as road games at Notre Dame and Cincinnati.
The Boilermakers are scheduled to host Valparaiso (Feb. 22), Loyola (April 19) and Milwaukee (April 25) this spring. The Feb. 22 spring opener against Valpo will be played inside the Mollenkopf Athletic Center. All games are open to the public and feature free admission.
Purdue will play at Notre Dame (March 28) and Cincinnati (April 4) on consecutive weekends after the spring season resumes following spring break. The Boilers will be making their first trip to South Bend since April 2012. Cincinnati, Loyola and Valpo are on the spring schedule for the second year in a row, while Milwaukee has been a regular spring opponent for Purdue over the last five seasons.
With only four seniors on the 2014 regular-season roster plus the addition of transfers Hannah Leinert and Dagny Olson last month, Purdue has a large roster this spring featuring as many as 26 players. Among them, six were full-time starters for the Boilers in the fall and 17 started at least one game for Purdue.
Roff's Illinois State teams were 3-0 against Loyola after the Ramblers joined the Missouri Valley Conference in time for the 2012 season. The Redbirds also regularly played Milwaukee in non-conference action.
Notre Dame and Valparaiso both qualified for the 2014 NCAA Tournament, squaring off in an opening-round game in South Bend. The Fighting Irish went on to reach the Sweet Sixteen round.
