Nov. 2, 2014

MINNEAPOLIS - Purdue men's tennis players Mateus Silva and Lucas Dages bowed out of the B1G Men's Tennis Indoor Championships Sunday while playing at Minnesota's Baseline Tennis Center. Silva was eliminated in the round of 16, while Dages fell in his first consolation match. As the tournament closed out for the Boilermakers, so did the fall season.

Silva dropped a straight-set decision to Alex Pasareanu of Northwestern, 6-0, 6-2. The junior closes out the fall portion of the schedule with a 4-6 record. Michigan State's Harry Jadun dealt Dages a 6-3, 6-3 setback in their first consolation match, forcing the Purdue sophomore (3-5) out of the tournament.

The semifinals and finals of the B1G Indoor Championships are scheduled for Monday. Complete draws and results can be found on the tournament central page.

The Boilermakers will begin the spring portion of their schedule by hosting Eastern Illinois and IUPUI at the Schwartz Tennis Center on Jan. 19.
