KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Fourth-seeded Daniela Vidal and Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum won two matches Saturday to punch their ticket to the quarterfinals of the main draw doubles at the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships. Vidal also advanced to the round of 32 in the singles main draw while playing at the Knoxville Racquet Club. Action resumes Sunday at 9 a.m. ET with the doubles quarterfinals followed by two rounds of singles.

Vidal and Bernard-Feigenbaum opened with an impressive 8-2 win over the Vanderbilt duo of Marie Casares and Ellie Yates. The senior and junior tandem then disposed of Edmeé Morin-Kougoucheff and Kirsten Lewis of Kentucky, 8-3, in the round of 16. With their two wins, Vidal and Bernard-Feigenbaum pushed their fall record to 10-0, while earning a spot in Sunday's quarterfinals. They will battle Lyn Yee Choo and Ioanna Markesini of East Tennessee State at the Goodfriend Tennis Center.
Playing side-by-side for the first time this fall, Natalia Davila and Lynda Xepoleas split their matches and were eliminated from the draw. The sophomore and senior pair notched an 8-7 (5) win over East Tennessee State's Ana Gerbasi and Jayde Viccars to start the day in the round of 32. Second-seeded and 16th-ranked Caitlyn Williams and Joanna Henderson dealt the Boilermakers an 8-3 setback to bounce the duo from of the tournament.
Purdue was defeated in three of its four main draw singles matches. Vidal was the lone Boilermaker to push forward into the round of 32, using a 7-5, 6-1 match to bypass Middle Tennessee State's Brittany Huxley. She will meet Christine Guerrazzi of Miami (Ohio) Sunday.
Xepoleas fell to fourth-seeded and 98th-ranked Aldila Sutjiadi of Kentucky in straight sets (7-5, 6-0), while Davila suffered a 6-2, 6-3 loss to Memphis' seventh-seeded Anki Wind. Bernard-Feigenbaum retired with the lead in the third set against Victoria Olivarez of Tennessee for her first loss of the fall season.

Singles and doubles champions from each of the 12 USTA/ITA Division I Regional Championships will advance to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Nov. 6-9 in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.
