WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - As part of our countdown to the season, we will give you the inside scoop on one of our 16 players. With just one day left until the home opener, we introduce our final player, No. 1 Lydia Dimke, a 6-2 freshman setter/outside hitter from Ham Lake, Minn.
Dimke is the seventh member of our highly touted freshman class, which was collectively ranked third in the nation. A Fab 50 Selection, PrepVolleyball's No. 50 Senior Ace and an Under Armour All-America first team honoree, she also was a three-time all-state selection.
The daughter of Bob and Mary Dimke was an honor roll student and earned All-America honors for both her 16s and 17s seasons of club volleyball playing for the Northern Lights club. Lydia has two brothers and one sister and plans to major in psychology.
