WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Fans can bring their dogs to Sunday's Purdue-Ohio State baseball game at Alexander Field as part of the "Bark in the Park" promotion at the Boilermakers' second-year stadium.

Additionally, the middle game of the weekend series with Ohio State Saturday has been moved back to a 5:30 p.m. first pitch in an effort to alleviate the travel and parking congestion from the overlap of the Grand Prix races and baseball game. Saturday's game was originally slated for a 2 p.m. start. If the time change means fans can no longer use their tickets for Saturday's game, the tickets may be exchanged for general admission seats to any future home date.

Sunday's "Bark in the Park" game is set for a 1 p.m. first pitch. The first annual "Bark in the Park" was a success last season. It was held Sunday, May 4, as the Boilers' completed a series sweep of the Southern Illinois Salukis. This year dogs will be given a complimentary Purdue bandana.

All fans must sign an indemnity agreement as well as provide proof of vaccinations for their dog upon entry to the stadium Sunday. The indemnity agreement states that fans bringing a dog to Alexander Field agree to take full responsibility for their pet, keep it leashed and clean up after it. People must be 18 or over to bring a dog or be supervised by someone 18 or older.

Inside Alexander Field, dogs will be limited to the grass berm area along left field. Fans are encouraged to bring blankets for seating. Lawn chairs are not permitted.

Fans bringing their dog to Alexander Field should enter the ballpark through gate 1. Copies of the indemnity agreement form will be available at the gate, but fans are responsible for providing proof of vaccination on their own. A wristband will be given to the person checking in the dog and a tag will also be attached to the dog's collar once the animal is checked in.

There are no breed restrictions in place at this time. However, fans are encouraged to use common sense regarding how their dog relates to others in a public environment. Dogs that have a history of not getting along with people or other canines in such settings should probably be left at home.

All fans must have a ticket to the game. The dog's admission is complimentary. General admission tickets will be available at the game Sunday.

The Kid Zone area with inflatables and other games behind the third base line seating will not be setup this Sunday due in part to the "Bark in the Park" promotion. However, the third and final set of Purdue baseball cards will be given away to the first 1,000 fans.

Purdue begins its three-game weekend series with Ohio State Friday at 6:30 p.m. The Boilermakers also host Illinois-Chicago at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
