WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Boilermaker softball team has added a game to its 2014 non-conference slate. Purdue will play host to Ball State at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9.
The Boilermakers and Cardinals have met during five of the last six seasons. Purdue leads the all-time series with BSU 18-3 and has won five of the last seven meetings since 2008. The teams last played in 2012, splitting an April 12 doubleheader in Muncie, Ind.
Purdue (18-17-1) is set to face instate foe Indiana in a three-game series this weekend, beginning at 4 p.m. Friday. The Ball State midweek game comes between that and a weekend set in Columbus, Ohio.
