Purdue Returns to Court After Bye Week to Host Indiana
- Longtime state rivals will meet for the 201st time on Saturday when Indiana visits West Lafayette for the only scheduled meeting between the two squads. The Boilers are coming off a midweek bye, while Indiana lost to Penn State on Wednesday, 66-65.
- Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m. (ET) at Mackey Arena. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN as well as on WatchESPN with Bob Wischusen and Dan Dakich on the call. It can also be heard on the Purdue Sports Network and SIRIUS (Ch. 91) and XM (Ch. 91) satellite radio with Larry Clisby, Ralph Taylor and Rob Blackman on the broadcast.

The Last Time Out -- Ohio State 67, Purdue 49 (Feb. 8, 2014)
- Ohio State ended the game on a 19-4 run over the last nine minutes to hand Purdue a 67-49 setback last Saturday at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
- After cutting the lead to 48-45 with just over nine minutes to play, Purdue turned the ball over on five of its next seven possessions and the Boilers could draw no closer the rest of the way as the Buckeyes won for the 12th time in 13 meetings against Purdue at Value City Arena.
- Purdue jumped out to a 6-0 lead almost four minutes into the game, but Ohio State rattled off the next 10 points of the contest to take a lead it would never surrender.
- Freshman Kendall Stephens scored 12 points to pace the Boilermakers, while Rapheal Davis and A.J. Hammons added 11 each. Purdue's starters managed to score just 24 points and despite shooting 55.0 percent from the field in the second half, Purdue was outscored in the final 20 minutes, 36-24, mostly due to nine second-half turnovers and 15 for the contest.

Purdue Storylines
- Purdue enters Saturday's game as a well-rested group after having a midweek bye, giving the Boilers a full week to prepare for the Hoosiers. However, when having a "bye" during Big Ten play since the 2006-07 season, the Boilermakers are just 3-4.
- Purdue owns an 11-2 record at Mackey Arena, and is looking for its 12th win in the facility for the eighth straight year. In the last 36 seasons of play at Mackey Arena (since 1978-79), Purdue has won at least 12 games in the facility a remarkable 27 times, owning an all-time record of 559-128 (.813) at Mackey Arena.
- One of the things to watch on Saturday are three main battles that will be waged. The first is the turnover battle, as the teams rank 11-12 in turnovers per game. Whoever can limit their mistakes has a great chance to be successful. The second is rebounding, where in Big Ten play only, the squads are 2-3 in rebounding margin. Lastly, is the matchup between Noah Vonleh and A.J. Hammons. In Big Ten play only, the duo rank 1-2 in rebounding (17.7 per game combined) and have eight double-doubles between them.

Series History
- The most-frequently played rivalry in the Big Ten, the Boilermakers and Hoosiers will battle for the 201st time on Saturday, but it will be the only regular-season meeting. The two squads have played every year since 1937.
- Purdue is the only Big Ten program to have a winning record against the Hoosiers, owning a 112-88 series lead. Indiana has, however, won the last four meetings.
- Purdue is 28-13 against Indiana at Mackey Arena, but hasn't defeated the Hoosiers in Mackey Arena since Feb. 23, 2011.

Next Up...
- Purdue remains home, hosting Michigan State on Thursday, Feb. 20, beginning at 7 pm. It will be the only meeting of the season between the two programs.
