WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's and women's track and field teams finished up a solid showing at the Iowa State Classic on Saturday, adding two more NCAA Indoor Championship qualifying marks and one of the top marks in school history.

Sophomore Ashlee Lengacher became the Boilermakers' ninth NCAA provisional qualifier of the season, clocking a time of 2:08.75 in the women's 800-meter run. Her time was good for seventh on the day and is the fifth-fastest in school history. Senior Jh'Rome Tuggle added his second national-qualifying mark in as many days, crossing the line in 47.59 in the men's 400-meter dash.

Freshman Josh Hembrough took home his second straight major victory in the men's 60-meter hurdles, topping the field with a time of 7.82 in the finals after notching back-to-back preliminary times of 7.81. Senior Tyler Miller, freshman Adetayo Adesanya and junior Stephen Bach all placed in their respective events and hit career-best marks as Miller claimed fifth in the men's shot put with a mark of 17.64 meters (57-10.50), Adesanya was seventh in the men's high jump, clearing 2.11 meters (6-11.00), and Bach was eighth in the men's 800-meter run with a time of 1:51.19.

The Boilermaker men's 4x400-meter relay squad placed 11th and just missed the NCAA provisional mark with a season-best time of 3:13.82.

Sophomore Stacey Wannemacher posted a placing effort in the women's shot put, taking seventh with a toss of 15.09 meters (49-06.25). Fellow second-year Kristin Phillips and freshman Emily Breslin hit career-bests on the day as Phillips completed the women's one-mile run in 4:55.72 and Breslin cleared 1.65 meters (5-05.00) in the women's high jump.

The Boilermakers host their final home meet next weekend with the Boilermaker Invitational.
